Pella Mid-Atlantic Inc. (“PMA,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) understands that privacy is important to you. This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how we may collect, use, and disclose your personal data when you use our website, mobile application, and/or kiosks (collectively, our “Site”).

By using or accessing our Site, you agree to be bound by our Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, please do not access or otherwise use the Site.

Scope of This Policy

Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies only to information collected through our Site. It does not apply to third-party websites or third-party mobile apps.

This Policy may be supplemented or amended from time to time by additional privacy notices (“Privacy Notices”), provided at the time we collect your information. For example, certain pages of our Site may contain Privacy Notices providing more details about the information we collect on those particular pages, why we need that information, and choices you may have about the ways we use that information. In other cases, specific Privacy Notices may be required to comply with the privacy laws of one of the states in which we do business.

Our Location

PMA is a United States corporation. The servers that support this Site may be located in the United States or other countries. Data protection laws vary from country to country; however, we will process your information in accordance with this Policy no matter where your data is stored. By using the Site, you freely and specifically give us your consent to export your personal information to the United States and to store and use it in the United States as specified in this Policy. You understand that data stored in the USA may be subject to lawful requests by the courts or law enforcement authorities in the USA.

Information We Collect

Information You Manually Provide. We may ask you directly for personal information, or you may provide it voluntarily through an online form. This information may include your name, email address, phone number, physical address, billing address, and product questions or preferences.

Information From Third-Parties. You may be able to register with, log on to, or enhance your profile on our Site by choosing to automatically populate the requested data fields with information you previously provided to a third-party social media platform (such as Facebook or X (formally Twitter). By doing this, you are asking the third-party platform to send us information, including personal information, from your profile on that platform.

Information Collected Automatically. We collect information automatically when you visit our Site. This information typically includes your IP address, the name of your operating system, the name and version of your browser, the date and time of your visit, and the pages you visit. The information we receive may depend on your browser or device settings.

Information Collected by Cookies and Other Technologies. A “cookie” is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site that can be understood by us or other parties that issued the cookie. We use cookies and other technologies, including device identifiers to collect information and support certain features of our Sites. For example, we may use these technologies to:

  • collect information about the ways visitors use our Site—which pages they visit, which links they use, and how long they stay on each page;
  • support the features and functionality of our Site
  • personalize your experience when you use our Site; and
  • improve our marketing efforts, including through use of targeted advertising.

In addition to the cookies PMA delivers to your computer or mobile device through this Site, third-party partners and analytic companies may deliver cookies or other tracking technology to you for a variety of reasons. For example, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics tool that helps us understand how visitors engage with our Sites. Other third parties like Facebook may deliver cookies or a tiny graphics file called a “pixel” to your computer or mobile device for the purpose of tracking your online behaviors across our Site and non- affiliated websites and delivering targeted advertisements either on this Site or other websites.

We may also aggregate information collected from our users (such as the number of users in a particular region or having particular characteristics).

How We Use, Disclose or Share Your Information

How We Disclose or Share Your Information

With Third-Party Vendors

PMA discloses information collected through this Site to third-party vendors who act for us or on our behalf. For example, we may use third-party vendors to design and operate this Site, to conduct surveys, and to help us with our promotional efforts. These third-party vendors may need information about you to perform their functions.

With Other Users of this Site

You may be able to submit User-Generated Content on or through this Site. In this Policy, “User-Generated Content” or “UGC” refers to any content that you post using the social networking or product review tools we make available to you and that does not constitute “Feedback” (as that term is defined in our Terms of Use). Any personal information contained in UGC can be read, collected, or used by others. In addition, we may use UGC you submit for advertising campaigns and other promotions. We may or may not use your name in connection with such use, and we may or may not seek your consent before using the content for such purposes. Therefore, you should have no expectation of privacy with respect to UGC you submit on or through this Site.

With Third-Party Social Media Platforms

We may provide functionality on this Site that allows you to automatically post information about the actions you take on this Site to a third-party social media platform (such as Facebook or X [formally Twitter]). If you choose to take advantage of this functionality, people with access to your profile on the third-party platform may be able to see the actions you have taken – for example, the items you have purchased. Thus, you should have no expectation of privacy in those actions. Further, if you choose to link your profile on this Site with an account on a third-party social media platform, we may share the information in your profile with that third-party platform. If you log into our Site using your credentials from a social media platform or if that social media platform has delivered a “pixel” or similar tracking code to your device, that platform also may receive data about the pages, videos, or other content that you viewed on our Sites. By accessing our Site, you consent to sharing data about that content with these social media platforms.

With Our Distributors, Licensees and Other Affiliates

PMA may share the information collected through this Site with its affiliates, licensees and independent contractors (collectively “contractors”). Our contractors  may use the information in all the ways listed in this policy, provided that such use relates to products or services authorized by PMA. For example, if you request an appointment, we will need to share your information with a PMA contractor near you to schedule an appointment. Our contractors may also use your information for their own marketing purposes, provided such marketing relates to products or services authorized by PMA – they may not use your information to promote competing windows or doors or other, products or services not authorized by PMA.

With Business Partners

From time to time, we may share your information with selected third parties (other than our third-party vendors or contractors) for joint marketing purposes.

As Part of a Business Transfer

Your information may be transferred to successor organization if, for example, we transfer the ownership or operation of this Site to another organization or if we merge with another organization. If such a transfer occurs, the successor organization’s use of your information will still be subject to this Policy and the privacy preferences you have expressed to us.

To Comply with Laws and Protect Our Rights and the Rights of Others

We may disclose your information when we, in good faith, believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law, a court order or a subpoena. We may also disclose your information to prevent or investigate a possible crime, such as fraud or identity theft; to protect the security of this Site; to enforce or apply our online Terms of Use or other agreements; to protect our own rights or property or the rights, property or safety of our users or others; or as Described in a Privacy Notice or click-through agreement. We reserve the right to disclose your information as described in any Privacy Notice posted on a page of this Site where you provide that information. By providing your information on that page you will be consenting to the disclosure of your information as described in that Privacy Notice. We also reserve the right to disclose your information as described in any click-through agreement to which you have agreed.

Retention of Personal Information

PMA retains the personal information collected on this Site as long as necessary to provide the services, products and information you request or as permitted by applicable law. Even if we delete some or all of your personal information, we may continue to retain and use aggregate or anonymous data based in part on your previously identifiable information. Please note that we will not be liable for disclosures of your data due to errors or unauthorized acts of third parties.

Links to Other Websites, Devices, and Software

Our Site may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Pella technology acts as a bridge between Pella products and Affiliate Devices. Through Pella Insynctive products, Affiliate Devices may collect certain personal information including product usage data, and general location-based information. These third parties may share information they collect about you with us, but we are not responsible for their data collection practices. We urge you to review their privacy policies to better understand their processing of your data. Data collected through our Site by third parties help us and our partners better understand how our consumers are using our products and how to improve our products.

Access to Your Information
If you would like to review, correct and update the personal information you have provided to us through this Site, you can update contact preferences online or please contact us by email at marketing@pellamidatlantic.com. We will respond to your request within the time limit set out by the applicable privacy legislation. We will use reasonable efforts to comply with your request as required by applicable law.

Change Previously Expressed Preferences

You may change previously expressed preferences regarding how we use your information. If at any time you wish to be taken off our mailing lists, you can update contact preferences online or please contact us at marketing@pellamidatlantic.com.

Opting Out of Interest-Based Advertising

The online advertising industry provides a service through which you may opt-out of receiving targeted ads from certain data partners and other advertising partners that participate in self-regulatory programs. You can opt-out of targeted advertising from certain providers across computer and mobile device browsers by selecting “WebChoices” at https://youradchoices.com/control. To help control how participating entities use your information for “in-app” advertising on your mobile device, download and use the “App Choices” app from www.aboutads.info/consumers. Please note that by opting out, you will continue to see generic advertising that is not tailored to your specific interests and activities. To be clear, cookie-based opt-outs must be performed on each device and browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, Safari) that you wish to have opted-out. For example, if you have opted out on your computer browser, that opt-out will not be effective on your mobile device. You must separately opt out on each device and browser.

Opting Out of Cookies

If you want to stop or restrict the placement of cookies or flush any cookies that may already be on your computer or device, please refer to and adjust your web browser preferences. Further information on cookies is available at www.allaboutcookies.org. By deleting our cookies or disabling future cookies you may not be able to access certain areas or features of our Site or some of its functionality may be affected.

How We Protect Your Information

PMA takes reasonable technical, physical, and administrative precautions to provide a level of security appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we collect. Although we use reasonable measures to help protect your information against unauthorized use or disclosure, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information provided online. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of information provided over the Internet or stored in our databases and will not be responsible for breaches of security beyond our reasonable control.

A Note About Children’s Privacy

You must be at least 18 years old to have our permission to use this Site. We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information about visitors under 13 years of age. If you believe that a child has submitted personal information on or through our Sites without the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, please contact us at marketing@pellamidatlantic.com so that we can take appropriate action.

Changes to the Policy

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions from this Policy at any time. When we make changes to this Policy, we will update the “last revised” date at the top of this Policy. We encourage you to periodically review the Site for the latest information on our privacy practices. You are bound by any changes to the Policy when you use the Site after such changes have been first posted.
